JAMB Warning to Candidates Not to Accepting Admission Outside CAPS

Y60JRIlJsg3P5oHufvsVlxCDDiJ3JhISnqGr7649.jpeg

The Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has shows his disapproval for any discrepancies and as such has warned candidates against accepting any admission that does not pass through its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) as any offer of admission not validated on JAMB’S profile page or offered through the CAPS is invalid.

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has shows his disapproval for any discrepancies and as such has warned candidates against accepting any admission that does not pass through its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) as any offer of admission not validated on JAMB’S profile page or offered through the CAPS is invalid.

This info stand as a result of some students being given admission without the permission of the Joint admission and matriculation bored According to JAMB, there have been complaints from the general public that three Public Universities have devised a method of “offering admission” to candidates outside the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on their own designated portals.

As this practices has been on for some time, JMB described this as a deliberate act done with the intent to lure unsuspecting candidates to accept other programmes  (courses) aside from their programmes  (courses) of choice.

Because of the matters that arise as a result of this the joint admission and matriculation board re-emphasised that the CAPS system is designed to

  1. To give a straight warning and also to prevent institutions from unilaterally changing or proposing a candidate for admission into other programmes (courses) other than his/her chosen one, which is very common today in various institution.

ii.Favoring students with high connections so the Joint admission and matriculation board has disallow an institution to skip a higher ranking candidate to pick a less ranking candidate;

iii. By dis-allow an institution to recommend a substitute programme for the consent or rejection by a relatively low-ranking candidate who is not likely to secure a place in his/her initial programme; and

  1. allow a low-ranking candidate on each programme to, on his or her own, opt-out of consideration from the initial programme and be considered for a programme where he/she ranks high enough to be considered.

According to the joint admission and matriculation board it would help requlate the admission process, it, therefore, warned that any candidate who accepts such offer of admission does so at his or her own risk as there will be no regularisation of any irregular or illegal admission.

The joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) added that appropriate caution has been given to these universities which are to promptly withdraw and desist from such illegitimate action and any of such act will henceforth be visited with appropriate sanctions.

Now the problem with this action is that most students majority of them were given admission by their institution instead of JAMB, so if this action is to take place in 2020 that means we will low amount admission as most admission are been given through the universities,If this post was helpful why not comment below so we know your opinion thanks.

How To Improve On Your Communication Skills

images.jpg

Communication is one of the major problem for most people, there is a concept in the sales world called kiss versus kill. Which basically means keeping it short and simple, versus keeping I log and lengthy.

Just trying to give you some brief summary of where am heading to, now how does this article help you in every day life, it shows you how much of a difference the way you communicate can affect other people.

It can affect their decision to like you, buy from you, help you and to trust you, here are some techniques you can use, to improve fully your communication skills.

  1. Emphasize your speech when needed with pauses, making use of pauses can be very very effective and important we can emphasize different parts of the message and can also help deliver a more powerful communication.

Pause can be very powerful and trough more light and emphasize different parts of the message, here is a quick example of this before we move on, by using the exact same sentence as before, however this time we are laying more emphasis and taking advantage of pauses, the following skill is probably the single most needed and most important skill in terms of the overall conversation ability, if you can lay hold of this and master it and make it part of you, you will be able to have endless conversations with pretty much anybody else.

  1. Let your focus be on quality: the second lesson in order to improve vastly your communication skills, is to focus majorly on quality of your speech. If you can try to remove all types of filler words for example words like; “I guess” and “well you know”, these kinds of words have no use and bring absolutely no value to the conversation and they literally mean nothing.

They are only used for example to drag the conversation out, and definitely it take much longer to get to the point. Take this sentence for example “what did you do this winter? Well I had an okay time, I went snowboarding for the first time with same of my friends and it was actually a lot harder than it looked.

Now compare it to this one: what did you do his winter? My friends and I went snowboarding, it was actually my first time and it was a lot harder than it looked; you notice how the second version is much more shorter but it has the same information , but it sound more confident and this time even more sophisticated.

Instead of using words like this, that clutter the overall conversation, why not try to use pauses for a better effectiveness.
